Zach Koch was born into a humble family of five in the fabled lands of Southern Illinois (USA) by a small lake town known as Carlyle. This is a place full of magic, mystery, and corruption. During his days as a youth he and his two older brothers partook and lived through countless adventures and perilous quests - such as participating in the rise and downfall of the Dark Lord Sauron, the overthrowing of Emperor Palpatine from the Galactic Empire, and adventuring through time with Link and Princess Zelda (just to name a few).
It was during these formative years that Zach and his brothers put forth all of their effort in training to become True Knights and Scholarly Wizards of the realm. It wasn't long before he left his village behind him to test his skills and prowess at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Here he initially trained to become a sculptor and draughtsman but put forth his full devotion and wizardry skills to the art of traditional oil painting. After graduating SIUE with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Zach spent his time honing his craft as a painter and professional artist by showing work throughout the Midwest, taking on high-profile commissions, and studying with Odd Nerdrum in Europe. Currently, Zach is attending the University of Indiana Bloomington working as an Assistant Instructor (teaching drawing and digital imagery) and on the most ultimate quest to pursue a Master of Fine Arts.
